Marathon School graduation events and activities

The Marathon high school holds commencement plans for May 22 with Rev. Bristol and Janet Nutt among honorees. Seniors listed include Sandra Stumberg and Jean Nutt, with diplomas to be presented. Intertroop Court of Awards planned for Dee Ann Dyke and Nancy Chism

Leaders announce a court of awards for Dee Ann Dyke and Nancy Chism as they depart before June Marylyn Briggs and Ann Estelle McBride carry on Story Hour this summer at the library. The library hosts weekly Saturday sessions from 10 to 1 for children, while five of six Senior Scouts head to Mitre Peak Scout Camp on May 16 for a Work Day and camp preparations with more than 60 Permian Basin families expected. Brownie Troop No. 2, led by Mrs. C D McCollister and Mrs. Rolf Lentz, spent a Brownie Holiday at Bill Sohls Ranch May 8.
