Social Tea Marks New Dormitory Opening Audience of Leaders

The event highlighted the first social gathering in the new dormitory Social Room, praised for its beauty and equipment. Attendees included Dr. H. W. B R Crumby optometrist formerly of Amarillo has opened offices in the Holland building next to Elite Beauty Shop. He has practiced over 20 years, mostly in Amarillo, and is accompanied by his wife and several colleagues from Texas Tech and universities in Santa Fe Lubbock and Santa Fe.

AAUW Honors Sul Ross At Alpine Tea Event

The Alpine AAUW branch hosted a Friday April 28 tea at Kokernot Lodge honoring Sul Ross college senior girls. May Day theme featured yellow daisies and mint baskets as 42 guests enjoyed punch and cake. The event included a receiving line, a brief program, musical interlude by Miss Mary Bess Hamilton, and welcomes by Miss Alice Cowan.
