New Storage Facilities Constructed In Park To Boost Water
Two National Park Service projects near completion improve water supply for visitors in the Chisos Mountains Basin and park personnel. Oak Spring supplies were insufficient and far from storage, so a 25 000 gallon catch basin and 500 000 gallon tank were installed at Casa Grande with a lift pump. A two mile pipeline from Dugout Wells serves Panther Junction HQ. Estimated cost 162000 dollars.
