Hancock Hill Chosen For Drilling Location
Hancock Hill east of Kokernot Lodge will host a water well project after engineers finish specifications. Mayor Hugh White announced bids will be called, with geochemist Stephan Riess selecting the site and Ashley Classen overseeing health and drilling requirements in El Paso. Riess expects 400 to 500 feet depth and about 300 gallons per minute, yielding 21.6 million gallons per 30 days if limits allow. The city negotiates one acre with Glenn Kokernot for the site, and a larger future well may follow based on initial results.
