Safety Razor Production Cut and Substitution by WPB
San Antonio WPB data show the War Production Board ordered a ban on sale of safety razors to civilians, except for armed forces, with copper use cut to 20 percent and May 25 production reduced to 70 percent of 1940. Razors will use zinc caps guards and plastic handles. retailers may sell remaining stock. Carl Pool notes 10 million razors used 1,662,000 pounds brass last year, enough for millions of cartridges.

Myton Tax Drain Spurs Bonded Debt Debate
In Myton Utah the city faces a bonded debt retirement as residents move houses outside city limits to escape municipal taxes. The attorney general told City Clerk Rose Ingalabe there is little the town can do to stop the trend.
