Joint religious society meeting at McGonagill home

The Presbyterian Methodist and Baptist groups held a monthly joint meeting Tuesday at the McGonagill home with Presbyterians presenting the program and Methodists serving refreshments. Several members attended and a card of thanks expressed for support during bereavement.

The project aims to install state approved outdoor toilets where sewer access is lacking, with free labor for installation and owners paying only materials, from 85 to 10 dollars per unit. Residents are urged to cooperate and provide information to canvassers in the ongoing federal sanitary survey effort.

Red Bluff New Boom Town Grows Rapidly

Pecos reports Red Bluff two miles west of the proposed 2.6 million dollar Red Bluff dam hydro electric plant. The settlement has twenty buildings and 100 to 200 residents. A 35 section tourist court is the largest venture being moved from Pecos, with meat markets, groceries, a drug store, hardware, filling stations, restaurants, and a townsite office already in operation. Three rival townsites have been staked nearby and are drawing interest.
