Fort Stockton Plans New Farm to Market Route to Big Bend

Stockton thanks Brewster county for scheduling the Marathon-Fort Stockton highway as part of the 1954 farm to market program. The new route will offer a direct link to Big Bend Park and promote tourist travel to Big Bend Trans Pecos area. Completion of Highway 118 will provide two entry options to the park, encouraging loop trips via Alpine and the Davis Mountains.
