Students choose electives from speech art choir band with limits. 7 period day starts 8:20 with lunch 11:45 to 12:35. Cafeteria services under Mrs Leta Granger with meals 45 cents and ticket purchasing. Football practice starts August 24 with ILH rules and insurance requirements. PE uniforms sold, locks for rent, art fee $1.50 per semester.

Locals Return From Eight Day Colorado and New Mexico Trip
Locals Mr and Mrs Chester Mills returned Sunday evening after an eight day vacation in Colorado and Ruidoso New Mexico. They were joined by Mrs Mills parents Mr and Mrs M L Gibson of Stanton. Dr and Mrs O S Cauthen and their children visited the Keesey Kimballs staying several days at Indian Lodge. Mr and Mrs Geo Light Ill of San Antonio visited and enrolled their son Bubba at Sul Ross State University. Jeannie Smith will re enter Texas Tech this fall as a junior.

Morning Bridge Club hosts at Mitre Peak
Mrs Seaton hosted the Morning Bridge Club at her quarters at Mitre Peak on Thursday August 6. Attendees included Mrs S McKerbow Fritz Weyerts Dave Elliott J M Alderson Clarence Hord and Marvin Pierce. Alderson won high prize second high went to Mrs Hord and Mrs Ker bow took the bingo prize. Directors to meet Big Bend Community Action Committee Inc holds its monthly meeting at the Multi Purpose Center in Marfa at 7 30 pm Wednesday August 19. Public invited.

The Lucky 18 club meets at Mrs. W. B. Ward's home in Carpenter Addition on Wednesday. Players Estelle Martin Dave Sublett Z M Decie Paul Vogt Frank McCollum A R Ponton Earl McElroy and Reg Wotan joined in ridge games. Mrs Decie won high score, Mrs Sublett was second, and Mrs Ponton received the consolation prize.
