Alien inmate outs jail security during dash for freedom
An alien prisoner on a Texas jail roof used an electric welder to loosen a window and a serrated wire to damage bars. Sheriff Clarence Hord said the jail failed to hold him, while the man boasted of escape plans and proposed illegal arrangements with two local girls. Police transferred him for safekeeping as immigration officers investigated.
