J. B. Miller announces an auctioneer sale featuring an elegant new line of hats at Mrs Regan's. Household items include a four room cottage, Sheridan coal, Canon jump nit and Aker's coal. Saddles from Collins & Morrison stocked locally.
A diamond and pearl breast pin is missing and a reward is offered for its return to Miss Edith Phelan.
The Nye company will debut in Alliance from Wednesday October 1 to Saturday October 4. The troupe has toured towns in Town South Dakota and Nebraska drawing crowds and praise for their comedy dramas and thrilling humor. Specialty acts between the plays, top quality illustrated songs and moving pictures, and low prices with reserved 35 cents gallery 25 cents and children 15 cents.

The Hemingford bank, once stunted by lost public faith, was bought and reorganized a year ago. Confidence returned and the bank’s business has steadily grown into a creditable showing under the present management.
W E Ashbaugh filed a complaint against attorneys Berry and Tuttle for shooting ducks on his property. The text notes Blackstone followers claim the complainant invited them to hunt, while questioning why Ashbaugh is upset.
A rear section of Burlington No. 46 crashed into the front part near Alliance after the two sections separated earlier. Two box cars were smashed, and two young men riding in the front car were hurled clear, with Joe Hartman of Denver and Henry C. Paul of Clear Lake, Iowa, injured. This marks the third accident on the branch in two weeks.
Local resident Lieutenant Dorrington, elected Commander of General Lawton Post No 1, Veteran Army of the Philippines, as Manila papers report. The Apache lodge meeting filled with veterans from the Eighth Army Corps Navy and Marines, with Major Miner and Warrington contesting command before Warrington won.
The Ladies of the Maccabees of the World announce a 10th birthday on October 10 1902 with a grand rally. Membership tops 195 000 across 46 states and territories with simultaneous 8 pm meetings in every hive. Alliance Hive No 34 plans October 4 event at Eagle Hall with free program and dancing afterward.
