Train Robbery Hinders Lincoln Express Forty-Eight
Four or five men halted No. 41 near Lincoln last Saturday around 1 30. They forced the engineer and fireman to detach the engine and express car and fled with valuables hid by Express Messenger Lupton before the safe was blown open. Loss estimated between two thousand and thirty thousand dollars. No passengers harmed. A $1000 reward per robber offered. The act mirrors a theft from about a year ago likely by the same gang.

Manion Sells Five Two Year Old Horses for 55 Each
Jos Manion brought in five two year old horses Tuesday and sold them to Reed Bros for 55 dollars each. Mr Manion is grandpa again as a son was born to Mr and Mrs John Mahony in Nance county on October 5. Manion also called on the Hesary and paid a few dollars on subscription.
