Dr H H Bellwood received a telegram from W G Comstock announcing Mrs Comstock died in Denver on Tuesday. She had long suffered from a complication of diseases. Bradford Fenner visited from Dunlap and returned with Mrs Fenner and the baby. Fenner notes Morrissey led in voting for senator with all but three votes at his polling place.

New Trial Demanded in Jahnke Case With 292 Alleged Errors
The Lincoln News reports a bill of exceptions filed in the supreme court for August Jahnke of Box Butte county on a murder-for-fortune charge. The defense alleges lack of jurisdiction, improper handling of a confession, and jury deliberation issues. A separate distressing Burlington division accident near Whitman killed brakeman Peter W. Baschkay, age about 22, after being struck while flagging a stock train. his death follows prior injuries on the road.
