Mrs O'Keefe Ill With Pneumonia Improves After Critical Period

Mrs. John O'Keefe was taken ill with pneumonia Sunday morning and for two days her life was despaired of. She is improving and thought to be out of danger at this writing.

City to switch water charges to meter basis

The city council will place the water system on a meter basis and have Attorney Simonson draft an ordinance. A flat rate of twenty cents per thousand gallons is proposed. Meter use will not be compulsory now, but reductions will make metering advantageous for all.

Beautiful wedding of Mise Elizabeth Elmore to J William Reed

The marriage took place Wednesday morning November 12 1902 at Holy Rosary Church with a high mass ceremony. The reception followed at the Business Men's club with about 100 guests. The couple will reside next door to the Elmore home after a short wedding trip to Denver and Kansas City.

District Court Confirms Foreclosures and Grants Divorces

Judge Westover held a special term in the city, confirming several foreclosure sales and granting three divorces to Emma Baker, Emma Cockrell, and Mabel Edgar. Alliance leads in divorces among towns of its size, with the Miller and Wildy property sale to be confirmed soon for possession.
