Mrs. John O'Keefe was taken ill with pneumonia Sunday morning and for two days her life was despaired of. She is improving and thought to be out of danger at this writing.

City to switch water charges to meter basis
The city council will place the water system on a meter basis and have Attorney Simonson draft an ordinance. A flat rate of twenty cents per thousand gallons is proposed. Meter use will not be compulsory now, but reductions will make metering advantageous for all.
