A four day sale at J. J. Keenen’s Farmers' Cash Store promises deep cuts on shoes shirts and fabrics. Highlights include 300 pairs children and men’s shoes from 65 cents up 300 men’s shoes 1.50 to 4.00 25 cent sacks and 90 cent overalls plus 10 cent canned goods and 38 cent shirts.
The Herald announces special editions of 2000 copies weekly for visitors and advertisers. This week 1700 copies will be printed in two sections totaling 12 pages. Next week 2000 copies planned in two sections totaling 16 pages. Advertisers are urged to place orders early for next week's issue.
Pioneer politician I E Tash sought word from Lincoln. Governor Aldrich to deliver address to Stock Growers July 6, via telegram from private secretary L B Fuller dated June 20 1911. Lincoln Nebraska confirms the governor will speak in Nebraska.
Morning service at 10 40 with address on the sacraments of the Church Evening service at 8 20 with sermon by Rev Ware Offertory sung by Mr Welch and Miss Kridelbaugh
Regular services are held in the First Presbyterian church on Sunday. The morning sermon theme is The Blessings of the King and the evening service theme is In the service of the King. All are cordially invited.
The Owls move from the Rumer block to six rooms above Threlkeld's furniture store. The spaces include a reading room bath room card billiard and pool room buffet and a large lodge room. Harve Shepherd is appointed custodian to create the best club room in western Nebraska.
Hon. Willis E. Reed of Madison may speak in Alliance during the Stockmen's Convention and deliver an address. The Herald will provide definite information in the next issue. R. A. McHale of East St. Louis is inspecting the West and is in Alliance this week.
An old Toledo notice warns readers against catarrh remedies containing mercury. The ad claims internal use harms the nervous system and stomach. It cautions Mercury-based ointments should be avoided and promotes safer alternatives from reputable vendors.
Dr James P Maxfield runs a modern dental office with electrical equipment over Brennan's drug store as listed on his card on the Herald's first page dated 28 11 8005.
The first full course graduating class of St. Agnes Academy received diplomas and Teachers' Certificates at gradation exercises held last evening at Phelan Opera House. Miss Marie Viola Carey, Miss Sadie Dunn, Miss Rita Hon, and Miss Agnes Krnest were named among the graduates, each awarded a gold medal for conduct and application. Father McNamara spoke on Woman's Education. Boarding students prepared for departure as classes resume in September.
Miss Blanche Macdonald, Alliance's popular contestant, campaigns in the Omaha World Herald European Tour Contest. The drive runs April 24 to July 1 with a $125 prize already awarded for May 29 to June 17 votes. Readers are urged to renew or start World-Herald subscriptions before July 1 to help her win the abroad trip.
Drake and Barb of the Resident Meat Market relocate from 616 Sweetwater Avenue to the Co-Operative Store at 303 Box Butte Avenue. Philip Thomas will head deliveries with Co-Operative’s cashier assisting. they keep the same telephone number 10. The move preserves their staff and aims to grow business with improved facilities.
Omaha eye specialist Dr Barnes will be at the Drake hotel on Saturday July 8 for eye exams with free refitting for a year to all patients. No charge for examinations. Call on Dr Barnes if you have head or eye trouble.
A. Finkbine of Des Moines and his son Frank M visited Box Butte county this week to inspect Finkbine family land northwest of Alliance. They were accompanied by L. F. McCarthy. The Herald notes a pleasant call and four new subscriptions.
F. E. Reddish departs tomorrow morning for a week of business in Dakota.
S. A. Miller ordered a full restock after Namara stock sold out causing delay in reopening. Goods have begun to arrive, signaling next steps toward resuming business.
The Herald reports Mrs. H. B. Boon remains poorly after three weeks under a physician's care and hopes to publish a better report next week. The piece also comments on the newspaper's new head, noting a style change and perceived improvement.

Cook & Wilson have completed a deal to purchase the Kroll building now occupied by Phil Pizer who will vacate the premises next month.
Washington news report recalls Thomas Morrison a disbursing clerk at the state department testifying to a house committee on expenditures that he was instructed by Wilbur J. Carr to keep quiet after a missing voucher related to the Day portrait case was found on the floor of Morrison’s office. The disclosure followed a question from Chairman Hamlin about any further attempts to uncover how the voucher ended up there.
Franciseco I. Madero Sr and his party reached Cusulla on June 17 and were given a grand reception. General Ambrosio Figeroa, head of the southern revolutionary army, has been informed he will be appointed inspector general of the rurales.
Mason City high school, erected seven years ago for 78000 dollars, burned after a lightning strike. Insurance coverage is reported at 58000 dollars. The fire occurred on June 17 in Mason City.
