A bride and groom from Albia Iowa were married yesterday. The couple departed for a three course luncheon after the ceremony and will spend time in Boulder before returning home after July with the groom engaged in the electrical business in Albia.
The committee adds a free for all parade at eight o clock Thursday evening for the convention next week. Lodges societies firemen vehicles of all kinds floats cowboys and cowgirls parade along Box Butte avenue with cash prizes for best appearing lodge best vehicle and best cowboy and cowgirl outfit. Entry is free and all lodges societies are invited.
The famed aviator R C St Henry, holder of the 10th U S license and pilot in five foreign countries, will fly a Curtis biplane twice daily June 27 and 28 at Crawford City Park. Admission is 50 cents to see both flights. 26 cents for the exhibition tent. Hungerford’s Big Sale and Show features free candy, ice cream, street entertainment, and a Bie Carnival by Savidge Bros Amusement Co.
Mrs. John McDonald returned Tuesday noon from an extended visit with friends and relatives in California and western points. Mr. McDonald met her at Pueblo where they visited his uncle and cousins. They spent one day in Denver on the return. She visited Miss Maulek in Los Angeles and Mrs. Alspach formerly of Alliance, and stayed a month with her father in Selma, California.
A traveler halted for a day at the Grand Canyon in Arizona on her way home, restocking before continuing.
The marriage of Miss Elsie Bloomfield and Mr. Samuel Elder was solemnized at the Bloomfield home on Laramie Avenue in the presence of immediate family and local friends. The Rev. A. L. Mathews officiated as Miss Mary Cusick of Albia, Iowa attended. The bride wore a gown.
