A Pine Ridge day outing drew more than fifty autos to Chadron Creek near Hay Springs for a group recreational trip. Participants returned safe after a day of hiking and socializing in the scenic area.
A Sunday morning convoy of over five autos carrying I. O. O. F. members and families traveled from Alliance to Chadron Creek in Pine Ridge for a three hour picnic. The group enjoyed lemonade by John Snyder, games on the hill, and a later drive home with stops in Chadron and Hay Springs. An upcoming Owners Reliability Tour is planned with prizes for best performances.
The Sidney Telegraph notes Wisconsin governor signs a bill allowing heavy fines or prison for gossipers. It asks what women in that state will do for entertainment now, and jokes that gossip isn’t only a women's pastime. A brief office boy scene hints at a humorous mix up between a poet and a deaf editor.

The Orkin Brothers piano sale closes after months of strong business. The club reaches 150 member families, each purchasing one piano under the plan. The program lets dealers move large quantities with low selling costs and buyers obtain high grade pianos at lower prices. Those considering joining should act before the club ends.
O H Finney was fined five dollars and costs on the 1st for drunkenness. Bert Shield paid five dollars and costs on the 14th for drinking. E L Willame was fined ten dollars and costs on the 16th for beating his wife and later arrested on the charge of nonnehee Mrs Bell. Frank Smith fined five dollars and costs on the 4th for drunkenness. Fred Sanbury and P Kurtz listed with fines for drunkenness. Kath Bell and E Williams arrested Wednesday morning on warrants sworn out by each other.
A long school note describes weekly faculty talks at Junior Normal and reports enrollment by town. It lists names of Alliance Hemingford Scottsbluff Angora Marsland and others, plus a total count and an upcoming lecture by Dr Beattie of Cotner University on tailored student treatment.
Rt. Rev. Hiphop Duffy's Alliance visit draws a large crowd to Gadsby Hall for a 5 PM banquet as Bishop confirms 39 adults at Catholic church and 8th grade graduates welcome him with awards. Local leaders praise Alliance as banking and educational hubs. Bishop thanks the city and notes proximity to Grand Island for future church plans.
A dignitary visits the Alliance to attend a banquet and deliver an address at the academy graduation. The event confirms a class of 39 graduates.
Mrs Chaves Tully entertained at a formal afternoon event on Laramie Avenue with an elaborate live course luncheon. Prizes were awarded to Mrs Gantz for first, Mrs Mogue for second, and Mrs Wore for consolation amid a guest list of many local names and helpers.
Carl Thomas traveled to New York City over two months ago to take a course at the Mergenthaler Sanotine factory and returned to Alliance Tuesday morning. He is now capable of handling any models produced by the Hutoype factory.
The A M E church will hold a grand rally on June 20 to raise funds for the church debt. All are invited to attend as Pastor P. M. Maxwell issues the invitation and a large advertisement appears in the issue.
