Guilty of Two Charges Impersonation and Robbery Plot

Sergeant Scott at the U S A recruiting station exposed an impersonation scheme by Private Earl Moore and William Pinfold involving a Denver hold up. Moore attempted to pass as Walter Knight to secure transport from Alliance to Fort Logan, was arrested after clues about initials and records, and confessed after questioning. Pinfold was captured by Denver detectives and handed to Fort Logan authorities. Moore is jailed in Alliance awaiting federal action on desertion and accomplice to robbery.

Judge Tash's Weddings and a Bootlegger Case

Judge Tash performed two wedding ceremonies on Wednesday afternoon and issued a license for a third. Chas C Hoefer and Maude Metcalfe of Hay Springs plus Morton Snedeker and Loretta Collins of Alliance were married. Arthur L Carter and Ina F Hoocke of Hemingford were also wed. A bootlegger named Dave Jenkins of Bingham was found guilty of liquor possession and transport. fined $200 and costs and released after payment.

Home Guards Renew Efforts to Revive Interest
