Home Guards to reorganize after low drill attendance

Box Butte Home Guards of Alliance plan a reorganization after officers resignations. Captain R C Strong and Lieutenants Hamilton and Pilkington step down while successors are elected. A meeting at the city hall armory Friday will nominate new officers to revive interest and attendance.

Farmers receive help from county agents and a representative of the Internal Revenue Bureau to prepare 1917 income tax returns due March 1. A new simple farm account book is promoted to track expenses and receipts for 1918, available free from the county agent.
