Alliance Couple wed in family ceremony at Tash home
Miss Emma Tash and Mr. Axel Johnson married at the Tash residence in Alliance last Tuesday evening in a six o clock ceremony led by Rev. O. Baker. The event, attended by immediate family, featured a pink and white decor and an eight o'clock reception for more than 150 guests before the couple departed for a honeymoon in the eastern part of the state. The couple will reside at 1028 Laramie Avenue after February 1. Miss Hiaunce Kibble joined the Nebraska Telephone Co. office as stenographer to bolster the growing operations under T. H. Beeson.

A massive blaze in Alliance forces 400 pupils from school for years until new quarters are found. The fire, insured for 17 750, caused extensive damage to building and contents. Firemen saved many nearby homes and properties.
Largest Alliance School Building Destroyed By Fire
A fire early Tuesday destroyed the Central School in Alliance, the city’s largest and oldest school, with over 400 pupils. Firefighters battled fierce flames fanned by wind as the bell tower and west wall were dynamited for safety. The cause was believed to be spontaneous combustion in coal bins near the furnace. Only a mattress and a toy doll house were saved. the janitor and his son-in-law escaped in night clothes.
