Akron Defeats Granville In Pitchers Battle For Fourth Win
Akron beat Granville 4 to 0 on the strength of Kapfer's 14 strikeouts and 7 hits allowed. Muehl allowed 7 Akron hits but the visitors stranded runners and misplayed a key infield to hand Akron the lead in the seventh. Tucker and Beaubien paced Akron with timely hits and steals as the home team pulled away late. Granville managed only scattered threats and could not solve Kapfer.
