Old Milnerville friends learn Rev Richard Burrows is recovering well after a serious operation at Mayo Clinic Rochester Minnesota. The funeral of Mrs Mary Hines of Hinton was well attended at Adaville church. Mrs Hines, known in the Milnerville area, died Sunday afternoon in a Sioux City hospital after a period of illness. Audrey Fry visiting Milnerville relatives accompanied by Mrs Frank Helm to Curlew Town for a weekend with the Cross family. Poison the Hoppers Early In South Dakota Fields
Extension entomologist George Gilbertson warns that field edges harboring grasshoppers are maturing and less palatable, pushing hoppers into small grain crops. He says rain and cool weather may delay damage briefly, but they will renew attacks as conditions warm. He urges timely spot poisoning along fence rows and field margins where hatching occurs.
