Dollhouse dollhouse exhibit unites local needlepoint groups
Local groups the Aiken Stitchin Belles and the Aiken chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild collaborate on a dollhouse themed needlework exhibit at the Aiken County Historical Museum in Banksia at 433 Newberry St. S.W. The display features about 80 pieces through Oct 2 with eight volunteers contributing roughly 500 hours to complete the project started by Pat Meetze of Gaston. Proceeds from any funded dollhouse items will support Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society in Meetze’s name.

Bridgestone Americas announces a nationwide video contest for high school students to win a $5,000 grant to develop or expand teen driver safety initiatives at their schools. The Teens Drive Smart program aims to empower youth to promote safer driving through creative videos and community outreach.
