Douglas Ray Razor Barton known as Razor dies in Gloverville after a lengthy illness. He was 63 and is survived by his wife Mary E. Church of Aiken and other relatives. Funeral plans are pending at this time as reported by local obituaries.
The Aiken County Animal Shelter mourns Rudy a boxer chow mix after more than three months of illness. He served as official greeter and educator visiting schools and assisted living homes. He is buried on shelter grounds with a cross and a memorial is planned. Memorials are directed to Friends of the Aiken County Shelter.
Michael Dean Perry petitions Aiken County court to end his duties as guardian and conservator for William Perry claiming Guillain Barre syndrome no longer impairs him. The 2009 order declared William unable to manage medical affairs. petition argues health improvements and capacity to decide on care.
