Four Doctors Reprimanded In Fatality at Madigan Army Medical Center
Four Army doctors at Madigan Army Medical Center received reprimands from Brigadier General Darryl Powell after an investigation found errors and poor communication contributed to Scott Johnston's death from a heart attack following a mismanaged pain cocktail in the emergency room. The incident led to new policies for under-12 care, supervised status for the involved intern, and heightened supervision for the ER resident. one doctor faces extended training and all four have personnel record cautions.
