Aiken artist Leslie Alexander presents From Dark to Light a paintings and collages show at the Arts Council of Beaufort County from June 15 to 30. Located at 801 Carteret St Beaufort inside USC Beaufort Performing Arts Center. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekend viewings by appointment. Applications are being accepted for the 1998 99 Leadership Aiken County class. Forms are available from the Aiken Chamber of Commerce 641 1111 the North Augusta Chamber 279 2323 the Midland Valley Chamber 593 3030 or Joan Wilson assistant county administrator 612 2012. Completed forms must be received by July 8. The program includes a three day overnight retreat at Camp Gravatt in October and nine monthly sessions on topics such as history culture horse industry social services economic development health care government education business and law enforcement.
