Preservation project extends life of 260 year old Drayton Hall
Wade Lawrence, assistant director at Drayton Hall, oversees an 18 month 550000 preservation project to slow decay of the Ashley River house built about 1742. The Georgian Palladian mansion remains unfurnished, preserving original peeling paint and untouched features while climate monitors guide protective steps for centuries more.
