State to replace buses as aging fleet grows across South Carolina
Officials say millions more are needed to upgrade the statewide bus fleet. Greenville County will receive eight new 62 passenger buses with safety features. Statewide distribution aims for equal age and mileage across districts as average age rises from 6.7 to 11.5 years since 1996.
