Bond denied for man in fatal North Augusta hit and run
Dillon Hepner 26 of Conifer Court faced a bond denial Monday in Aiken County for hit and run with death after a 1 year old girl, Rylee Bloodworth, was struck near Conifer Court in North Augusta. Investigators say the burgundy Chevrolet Avance pickup fled the scene after the child was hit, and EMS later pronounced her dead at Augusta University Medical Center. Family members urged the judge to deny bond, detailing the child’s death and questioning involvement. Hepner remained jailed at the county detention center with a November court date set.
