Powerball winner loses 545000 cash from SUV at Cross Lanes club

Cross Lanes West Virginia police say Jack Whittaker, a Powerball winner who donated over 3 million to churches, was at a Pink Pony strip club when a briefcase with 245000 in cash and three 100000 cashier’s checks was stolen from his SUV. The money was recovered behind a trash bin and no arrests were made. Whittaker said the incident should not affect his foundation and described himself as a private citizen. The investigation centers on possible ties to the club and Whittaker’s clashes with staff over entry during intoxication.
