Mrs. John Weldon was knocked down and trampled by a Brown cow while milking last Monday evening at six. Quick intervention by Sell Hall on the veranda prevented more serious harm as Mrs. Weldon suffered a forehead gash and bruises.

Obituary for Martha Clementine Nicely Wall
Martha Clementine Nicely Wall died May 28 1911 aged 36 years 2 months and 25 days after a long illness. She married Charles Wall and had four children two sons and two daughters. She joined the Philoh Christian church in 1892 at age 17 under Rev R H Gott and moved with her family to Litton about two years ago where she made many friends. She leaves her aged parents Frank and Ann Nicely two sisters and two brothers Herman Nona Zou Cecil and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her untimely departure.

New County Superintendent Named in Boone County
The Lebanon Reporter reports Edgar M. Servies of Jackson township elected county superintendent. Democratic trustees split votes to favor Gullion on first ballot but Republicans shifted to Servies on final ballot, securing his victory. Servies, a Boon County native and former Jamestown principal, succeeds Gullion who is praised for his prior four-year terms and county educational progress.
