Young man in Crawfordsville swallows timothy head
Jesse Stevens formerly of this place but now living in Crawfordsville swallowed a timothy head as a child. For nineteen years he bore recurring lung hemorrhages, with doctors unable to remove the object until a recent examination suggested the head may now be expelled or absorbed.

William H Hostetter born October 3 1840 in Montgomery county died May 15 1911 after stomach trouble. He lived most of his life in the county with the last fifteen years in Lebanon. He partnered in insurance with S I Gillam. Survived by widow Margaret A Nicely and children Mrs Chas Airhart Mrs Lyle Matthews and Harry plus five brothers and three sisters. He was a member of the M E church and I C O F Lodge Jamestown. Funeral held 10 10 a m Saturday at his Lebanon residence led by Rev M H Appleby. Interment at Jamestown I C F cemetery. Burial by G A R with Lebanon militia firing squad.

Obituary of Nathaniel M. Scott 183?–1911 in New Jersey circles
Nathaniel McKey Scott died at his daughter Mrs. Albert Akers home on May 21 1911 of heart failure aged 59 years 1 month and 23 days. He married Mary E Ysing on March 7 1870 and had seven children four preceded him in death leaving a widow two daughters Viola Akers Effie Dinsmore an aged mother three grandchildren and a half brother John S. Dale. He belonged to the Christian church at New Brunswick the I C C F lodge at Lebanon and the K of P lodge at Lizton. He was a devoted husband and father and a cheerful church and lodge contributor.

Sunday School report shows 132 attendees and a collection of 2.39. 48 men and 51 women were on time. Travelers logged 274 miles by men and 333 miles by women. Old People’s Day is planned for next Sunday with short talks and songs.
Shiloh Christian Sunday School Report and Guest Mission Talk
Attendance reached 91 with a collection of 2.76 and 476 points. Two new scholars joined last Sunday, and a birthday offering of Lora A. McClaine 392 was noted. The young men’s class led in attendance and points, Rev Mr Woodsworth, a missionary with nineteen years in Japan, will preach next Monday night at the church. Everyone is invited.
