Baker's Dozen Beer Run grows from a plan to a national event
Marshall residents organize the Baker's Dozen Beer Run a first half marathon on Sept 24 at 8 am with 6500 expected participants. Jessica Hackworth Dawn Saylor and David Giesen lead a donation free event with racing and biking options starting behind Louie's Bakery and finishing at Dark Horse brewing. The run costs 15 dollars includes a donut and a beer and proceeds fund operations with leftover money rolled into next year. Participants meet at Dark Horse around 11 30 am for music grilling and $3 pints.
