Marshall council backs job-creating move and IDD expansion

Marshall officials praised Progressive Dynamics for moving production back to the city benefiting 79 workers and saving the company about 21 thousand dollars while the city foregoes 8100. They also approved Industrial Development District 33 to support future growth and updated health insurance cost shares for new hires. Grants from the Cronin Foundation and Marshall Community Foundation will fund exterior landscaping at City Hall.

Artists scholarship check funds two Kellogg arts scholarships

Battle Creek Society of Artists President Nick Hotra presented a $1000 check to Kellogg Community College Foundation via Professor Pete Williams. Through the foundation the funds will create two $500 arts scholarships for students pursuing arts degrees, as BCSA promotes ongoing arts education and hosts free public programs.
