Fire at Marshall House prompts evacuation on Spruce Street
Marshall House Apartments residents fled after a second floor blaze on Spruce Street on March 13. Administrator John Rodgers described smoke blocking entry while firefighters and 911 responded. A 63 year old resident was hospitalized in critical condition with severe burns at Bronson Hospital. Over 90 residents were displaced to the Public Services Building until late Tuesday afternoon. The cause remains under investigation. See story on page 45.

Tenneco Worker First in Six Sigma Black Belt
Ryan Lautzenheiser, 33, Homer, earned the Six Sigma Black Belt with Tenneco Automotive in Marshall after three years of training. He notes few North Americans hold the certification.
