Man Arrested After Marijuana Stop In Marshall
Marshall Police stopped a vehicle on Par tello Road near I 94 around 12 24 a m on February 7. The odor of marijuana led to a field investigation, yielding a marijuana seizure and an arrest. The 24 year old Concord driver was jailed for marijuana possession and operating under the influence.

Increase in Credit Card Fraud Reported in Marshall
On February 2 around 9 a m Marshall Police received a report from a Lowe Drive resident. More than $2000 was charged to the card with purchases made in Lansing. The victim was reimbursed by the credit card company. Police report an uptick in fraud and urge residents to protect personal information and coordinate with banks. The investigation continues.

Disorderly patient faces multiple assault counts
In Marshall on February 3 a 20 year old male suspect at Oaklawn Hospital resisted staff and assaulted three workers before medical care. A three count assault disorderly conduct warrant is sought through the Marshall City Attorney.

Deputy Injured By Exploding Tire On I-69
Deputy Sgt Brent Lincoln of the Calhoun County Sheriff s Department was injured when a burning tire exploded while approaching a tractor trailer on I 69 northbound near mile marker 37 in Marshall Township. He was treated and released at Bronson Hospital Kalamazoo. Marshall Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
