Oaklawn Echo Lab earns national accreditation
Oaklawn Hospital's Echocardiology Lab has gained ICAEL accreditation, a rare national honor for a facility of its size. Director Jess Kingston notes the 14 month effort involved staff across the cardiopulmonary department to meet exacting standards, with Dr. Farid Zayed praising state of the art equipment and the staff's professional certification. The program is valid for three years and aims to reduce heart disease and stroke deaths through precise, non invasive heart imaging.
