Marshall Police respond to Hughes Elementary after a 7 p.m. March 31 report of two 13-year-old boys engaging in a lewd act on campus. A 46-year-old Marshall man reported witnessing the incident and police were dispatched.
A school custodian found two boys hiding by equipment. One fled on a bike while the other was stopped after calling 911. Police found marijuana on the second boy and both youths denied the lewd act, with one admitting giving marijuana and a knife to another person in December. The case goes to juvenile prosecutor for review.
Battle Creek Seventh-day Adventist Church hosts a two part free presentation on April 22 and 23 at 7 p.m. Filmmaker Tony Moore from Southern California presents selections from a new 28 part TV series filmed in Israel and the West Bank detailing Jesus closing days.
