The sensitivity of the topic centers on GPA gains versus system fairness and transparency for students seeking higher rankings.
Calhoun County Victims Services honored Marshall Police Det Lt Scott McDonald and retired Circuit Court Judge Gary Reed at a Crime Victims Rights Week breakfast held April 12 at Burnham Brook in Battle Creek. Nora Geiger praised those who uphold victims rights. See page 56.

Albion resident Brandalyn Byler will join hundreds of others in the Great Cloth Diaper Change on April 23 to set a record for most cloth diapers changed simultaneously. She says the event aims to spread awareness of cloth diapering and its ease and fun. Earth Day is April 22.
