A fire at the new Wabuska residence of D. C. Beach was discovered in flames. Alarm general, firefighters arrived, but the house was totally consumed. The structure valued about 1700 dollars and no insurance had been placed yet. The blaze was thought caused by overtaxing of a kerosene lamp.
