The funeral service for Mrs J F Holland was held at the Methodist Church last Sunday with Rev Frank Sommers delivering the sermon praising her as a pioneer of the state. The choir led hymns and numerous floral tributes accompanied her burial as friends escorted the casket to the grave.

John Nicovich of Morningstar was tried in Ludwig on Monday before Justice Turner’s jury. Corner Stone to be laid for the new Odd Fellows building in Yerington on the 16th instant. The program begins at 2:30 with public exercises, followed by a 5:30 banquet for Rebekahs and Odd Fellows and guests, and an 8:30 entertainment at Rink Hall with card admission.

J G Young and wife B M Rey mers and wife and C flernleben and wife visited Jas Nichol and wife Wednesday for a social afternoon and a splendid turkey dinner. They departed at sundown after gracious hospitality and a display of culinary skill.
