Surprised Housewife Takes Flight During Accident
Mrs. B Al Freed, a 40 year old housewife, inadvertently released the brake in her husband’s small two passenger plane at Ganvessurne Airport. The craft climbed to near 2000 feet before she struggled to land, bouncing, skidding to a pancake stop after overshooting the field. She remained unhurt and said the incident sparked an interest in aviation. The husband and Airport Manager Arthur Curry watched in disbelief as the plane zigzagged and crashed.
