In Canaan on Sunday evening after several weeks of illness Mrs John Whonsetler died at her home two miles southwest of Crestey. Funeral services are planned for Monday at Gear Bealvand, Barberton friends and local relatives attended in the past week. Earnest Sell, Rev Wingert’s Sunday visitor from Wooster, and D W Jacot were among town callers last Thursday. Laura Whonnetler and Anna Totten recently returned from Barberton.

Seventeen Year Old Hazel Burns In Gasoline Accident
Miss Hazel, 18, daughter of Mit and Mia Miller, sustained severe burns on her arms after a gasoline stove incident on Caliowhill Street Monday evening. She lit and shook a gasoline tank, causing flames that scorched her clothing and burned her left arm. Dr. A N Warren and Dr H D Braden treated the burns, with Miss Miller aiding to remove the fire. Left arm injuries were serious, right arm blistered, hair singed, but no facial burns. She rested easier Tuesday. prognosis hopeful.
