Adam Kurtz a respected Wayne township resident died Friday morning September 1 1896 of Brights disease aged 66. Born February 7 1830 near Reading Berks County Pa he moved with his father to Stark then Wayne County in 1835. He married Susan Brumbaugh in August 1880 and lived north of Bloomington. Survived by wife and daughter and two sisters Mrs Tartg and Mrs Irvin. Funeral Sunday afternoon at two thirty at his house north of town.
