Maurice Leech a freight conductor on the POFI W and C died Tuesday night near Lucas in a boiler and fire incident. While leaning on the cab steps to view flames just ahead the car passed under an overhead bridge and swept him under the wheels. The brakeman misssed him and the train stopped to recover the mangled body found near the bridge. The body was sent to Allegheny on the morning train.
