At St James Episcopal church a Sunday meeting deferred actions regarding the Bishop's return to Cleveland and related Lake 2 decisions due to varying causes. The situation was stated Monday and a decision will be made shortly.
Judge S B Eason convened the bar and reviewed the docket on Monday afternoon. Several matters were set for hearing as the court prepared for forthcoming sessions.

Final entry in the Stowell case grants Mrs. Stowell the custody of the child during school periods and alimony of 500 dollars. James Nangel, Harry Nangel, and an unnamed companion from near Creston fought a conductor on an Erie train Monday night. Marshal Conrad of Rittman intervened and arrested them, but the trio fled after they knocked the marshal down during disembarkation. The officers later searched their hideout but found they had fled.

Eddy Lilly aged 18 near Orrville died by his own action shortly after 6 pm Monday. The deed was done at Lilly’s father’s farm. he shot himself in the forehead and died almost instantly. No note found and coroner Zaring held an inquest the same day.

Rev Moshers’ family has disbanded and will quit housekeeping. the Rev will continue to preach locally. Miss Mamie Carter of Quaker City visiting cousins the A C Wiles and Scott families. Potatoes nearly harvested. Bert Hoisington raised a record 303 bushels from one and a half acres. Mrs Shaver of Medina visited town Friday. Three new monuments erected in Canaan Cemetery for Samuel Rhoads, M S Whitware, and Van Doorn family. NEW PITTSBURG Oct. 19 We are enjoying fine fall weather but the area remains very dry. Mercury stood at 8 in the Shoda Sunday afternoon. Local farmers report some finishing up while others are hoping for rain to Douglas Neff of Grenetelg and Neff of Loudonville visited Hennys Fortnoy recently. Various locals including the Wile families, Haverstock, Fisher, and others hosted relatives and friends through the past week, with many Sunday gatherings and visits noted across nearby towns like Ashland, Wooster, Rows, and Shreve.
A distinct odor of smoke from burning forests in Michigan was detected in Wooster for the second time in a few weeks. The smoke was noticed late Sunday night as winds shifted to the north, and the burnt wood smell lingered throughout Monday across the city.
A Plain Dealer building fall left James W. Holleran of Wooster badly injured with a broken shoulder and arm and internal injuries. His father Patrick Holloran received a letter from him Monday stating the fall and that he was not seriously hurt and would recover.
