Wayne Medina Gas & Oil Co won county commissioners approval to lay mains on the county road to Wooster and on routes through Bloomington and from Burbank to Creston. Stockholders are optimistic as the third well reached 470 feet, hinting at a new local gas field. A telegram from a manufacturer hopeful about bug and automobile bodies asked for reps to visit and investigate.

Death ends life of well known Wayne township farmer
Andrew Berkey aged 44 a prominent farmer of Wayne township died suddenly on Sunday afternoon after an apoplexy. He was born in the township and spent his life there. Survived by wife and one son. Funeral held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Lutheran church Smithville with interment at Smithville.
