Son saves father from enraged bull in Wayne township
Josaph Herple of Wayne township narrowly escaped death when a furious bull knocked him down at his home. His son, alerted by his cries, struck the animal with a large club and drove it away, leaving Mr. Herple badly bruised but alive. He credits the son with saving him from being trampled.

Veteran Wood Dies Suddenly in Covington Ky on Visit
Sir Knight William Wood, a Crescent tent No 978 member and Civil War veteran, died of cardiac disease Sunday afternoon November 17 1007 at S red Baird residence in Covington Kentucky. He lived thirty years in Lattasburg Ohio and leaves four children and several grandchildren. The Knights of the Maccabees extend sympathy and drape charter for thirty days as records note his faithful service and influence.
