Mansfield Lines Sold to Cleveland & Southwestern Rail
The Cleveland and Southwestern Railway firm completed the purchase of the Mansfield electric railroad lines and power plant on Thursday. Negotiations had been ongoing, and signing papers will eliminate the need for a new power plant at Mansfield. The purchase will provide sufficient current for a new branch line with spare capacity, and the traction stock at Mansfield is said to be a paying investment with good returns for the stockholders.
