March 1862 Letter From 41st Tennessee Soldier
A Civil War correspondence from Nashville dated March 9 1862 describes the 41st Tennessee Army movement from Camp Wickliffe. The march westward faced rain mud and fatigue as tents and supplies strained under wet conditions and delayed orders. The writer notes a halted night near Elizabethtown and efforts to improvise shelter and warmth before resuming march when division reinforcements arrive.
