The city council in regular session discussed a sewer project on West Henry Street and petitioned frontage for Quinby avenue. A franchise for A M Fombelle and Co to pipe natural gas was read and sent to final reading, with debate on meter rents and street lighting.
The city council discussed an ordinance totaling 9001 for pumps engines and laying mains to boost water service. Amendments added repairs and bonds. motions suspended rules and passed with Schlossenagle not voting. Additional ordinances covered paving Bever Street and Calumbia Avenue with bond funding. Mrs Julia Larwill Carr died at her son Horace's home in Kansas City Missouri on May 29 after a extended illness. Born April 20 1884 in Wooster she married Horace Carr February 4 1827. Survived by Horace and Luther A with several grandchildren. funeral in Wooster with wide family attendance. Funeral procession included many Larwill relatives from several cities.
The 120th regiment OU V L annual reunion was held in Renton with many veterans and wives gathering Monday night and traveling to Creston Tuesday. Attendees reported friendly reception from villagers and noted the reunion as a success despite a hot day.
Advertising plans rise as George Kettler and Thomas F Datley arrange the Ringling Brothers circus return for July 3. Agents Wolf and others coordinate four advertising cars and four trains. Show will land on Pennsylvania lines with one loaded car held at coal shores and others on yard tracks for unloading.

Dr Joseph Hart Car died in Henderson Tennessee on April 29 1907 after a two week illness. Born June 28 1830 in Morgantown West Virginia he lived much of his life in the south as a druggist and was superintendent of the Southern Drug Company in Henderson. He served as assistant surgeon in General Forrests Confederate army and was praised for tending the wounded on the battlefield. He was buried in Montezuma Tennessee beside family members. his three sons Theodore Randolph Joseph were present. He was the eldest son of Jabez B Car and Amanda Jarrett Car and married Almedea Stanton Randolph in Bolivar Tennessee May 31 1870. He was known for his bright genial nature and as a respected druggist in Wooster Ohio and in local companies. The obituary notes the death of William Bevard 75 and details his long farming life and surviving family.
Jane Calvins Ebert and family of Overton spent Decoration Day at Charles Fahr. Mrs Evert and son from Ashland visited her parents Daniel Weavers. Mrs Tacos of Lattensburg and Frank Norton of Mansfield were in town. B Douglass of Wooster gave the Memorial address, author of the Wayne County History. The church was decorated with ferns and wildflowers. Mr Easterday and wife of Mansfield visited at James Weavers. Arthur Hastings and family of Bad Baw spent Decoration Day with their parents.
